Handheld Sprayers

Spraying equipment of many types have been used in agriculture and industry for hundreds of years. Portability and convenience are the two features previously lacking. Use of high-density polyethylene plastic in sprayers was pioneered by Solo in 1955. Today a myriad of sprayers are available, however, most homeowners, gardeners, and landscapers rely on one, two, and three gallon handheld sprayers and four gallon knapsack sprayers for everyday applications.

CHOOSING YOUR HANDHELD SPRAYER

Type: Solo offers three types of handheld sprayers: Lightweight/light-duty - LCS Series; Standard/Multi-purpose - 430 Series; Commercial grade/Multi-purpose - 450 Series.

Price: Competively priced from $19.95 to $49.95. Prices increase as sprayer features and benefits grow.

Guideline: Choose the LCS series for occasional use where plants, etc., are easy to reach. Choose a 430 series for virtually every spraying need. Choose a 450 series when a rugged unit is needed for frequent use under severe conditions.

Capacity: Each series (LCS,430,450) includes one, two, and three gallon sprayers. Two gallon units are most popular in every series.

COMFORT: Both the 430 and 450 series handheld sprayers feature easy carry, easy pump, 4' long hose, and 2' unbreakable wand, carry strap and carry handles for low effort spraying and general ease of use.

Durability: All SOLO handheld sprayers are constructed of high density polyethylene and other chemical resistant materials. Most rugged are the 450 and 430 series which carry a 5 year warranty and with periodic maintenance will provide years of service.

Features: 430 and 450 series are supplied with an adjustable nozzle, flat spray, hollow cone and jet stream nozzles to meet typical spraying needs. A relief valve for pressure limiting and release add convenience.

Handheld Sprayer features to look for:

1, 2, and 3 gallon handheld sprayers:

  • Hose length of 3 to 4 feet
  • Wand length of 24" or more
  • Viton seals for chemical resistance
  • Pressure relief valve for venting excess pressure
